Heavy rainfall leads flood in Bihar’s Muzzafarpur, Sitamadi, Motihari, Madhubani and Betiya, several civilians affected. The heavy rainfall in nepal has triggered flood alert in Bihar. The water level has increased in Bagmati River due to heavy rain. The water level has increased in Bagmati, Kamla, Gandak River due to heavy rain.
Various regions will be affected like Muzzafarpur, Sitamadi, Motihari, Madhubani and Betiya. Many villages in Aurai, Madhuban Pratap, Bada Buzurg, Raghopur, Chainpur, Babhangama are submerged as Baghmati river flowed much above the danger level. People in these areas shifted to higher places.
In Katra, the water-level of Bagmati rose to more than 2.5 ft. 19 NDRF team’s deployed in affected regions and WRD (Water resources department) is monitoring the situation constantly. According to officials there is a thick cloud on north Bihar and Nepal. According to some villager they have not got any relief from administration.
